Robert Fortelka

Robert Fortelka is a Managing Principal of The CTO Group. He is responsible for delivering added value strategic planning, technology services and program/project experience to our clients. Mr. Fortelka has served the IT community for over 30 years and has been responsible for overseeing multi-million dollar projects delivering IT solutions with significant experience in retail management systems, value/supply chain management, CRM renovations, software development, and e-commerce.

His experience utilizes these customer, process innovation, and technology experiences to deliver service excellence to his customers. He is an added value team member who, in addition to his professional expertise, provides executive level strategy and business know how.

Some of Mr. Fortelka’s clients with The CTO Group include AL INMA Bank, Deutsche Bank and Rolls-Royce where he provided a range of IT Strategy, Architecture, SDLC and Governance services including:

• Lead the effort to establishing architecture strategies and standards for the organization. Global IT Created and lead the development of the Enterprise Information Architecture Roadmap that outlines the need and plan to provide an Enterprise Information Architecture and a set of technology standards to ensure the bank’s position as the premier institution in their marketplace the world. Strategic Planning for organizations that were growing through acquisition.
• Lead the standards, process and governance development for a global program and project PMO that managed over 200 projects per year.
• Lead application solution development teams through the SDLC to develop on-line banking solutions.

Previously he was Senior Vice President, Product Operations at FORTEL Inc. (NASD – FRTL) an independent software vendor specializing in service level management software. Prior to FORTEL he was Vice President, Software Operations at TIDAL Software, a world supplier of integrated batch system production scheduling software. Before joining TIDAL, Mr. Fortelka was Vice President, Product Operations for Park City Group, a leader in integrated retail applications with a specialty to back-office automation, and Wynstar, a leader in integrated application suites for wholesale distributors with a specialty for high-volume order entry and inventory control. Mr. Fortelka also held a number of executive positions with Pansophic Systems as a Vice President to support the Manufacturing Resource Planning, Applications Generation and Information Management software solutions.

Mr. Fortelka holds a Master Of Management degree from Northwestern University, Kellogg School.
