About Us

The CTO Group was established in 1995 and has been an ongoing endeavor since. Our Principles 'come and go.' Since we are all working executives that occasionally consult, having a member become a permanent employee of a firm is not uncommon. Some are hired by clients and others are recruited by outside firms. A few of us have left and returned since inception. We intentionally do not maintain an extensive roster of Principals. A key component of our selection process is the ability to work together and past experience doing so. Working with people you know and trust can be critically important in major engagements.

We maintain contact with and get input from our various alumni and advisors. While we do not maintain a specific board of advisors our working relationships serve to provide access to a number of key practitioners in a variety of roles. We frequently 'network' our clients with each other to provide a working infrastructure of mutual support. We also support our clients through introductions to various industry groups, including analysts, and trade groups/press as appropriate.
