Raman Khanna

Raman has 20 years of operating experience and 14 years of investment experience in information technology.

Raman is currently a managing director with ONSET Ventures focusing on Information Technology specializing in enterprise and internet technologies, information security and commercializing disruptive technologies developed at leading research universities.

Prior to becoming a managing director of ONSET, Raman co-founded Diamondhead Ventures in June 2000.

Prior to Diamondhead Ventures, Raman worked at Stanford University for 16 years in various roles, including Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Raman also served on Advisory Boards of many global technology companies. During his Stanford tenure, Raman was actively involved with 15 successful high technology start-ups as an angel investor, advisor and board member. His portfolio included companies like Postini (acquired by Google), Siara (acquired by Redback), SupportSoft (NASDAQ: SPRT).

Raman lead Diamondhead’s investments in Cavium Network (NASDAQ: CAVM), Reactivity (acquired by Cisco Systems), PassMark Security (acquired by RSA/EMC) and Orative (acquired by Cisco Systems). He currently serves on the boards of MixerCast, Serus, FirstRain and Nitronex.

Raman received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Delhi University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Golden Gate University.
